Join Illinois for a Historic Public Reading
On July 8, at 5 PM CST, Illinois will join all 50 states in a simultaneous public reading of the Declaration of Independence, marking 250 years since the first public readings.
Communities across Illinois are invited to participate by attending or hosting a local reading, learning more about the Declaration, and celebrating America’s 250th birthday together.
