America 250 Independence Day

  • Harvard Parks and Recreation 607 Galvin Parkway Harvard, IL, 60033 United States (map)

Join us for a community-wide celebration honoring 250 years of America—right here in Harvard! A neighborhood parade leads us into a big meet up in Lions Park! Free admission, family-friendly activities, tasty concessions, a beer tent, and a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere await. The event takes place during the day, so you’ll still have time to enjoy your favorite fireworks displays around the area that night! BONUS! The Harvard Aquatic Center will offer discounted daily pool rates ($2.50) on July 4th. Wear your red, white, and blue, bring your family and friends, and let’s celebrate together!

To participate in the parade, contact Joe McLachlan via email post265harvard@gmail.com or by mobile phone 815.355.5406. Parade line up starts at 8:30 am, departs Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot promptly at 9:30. Stay for the party hosted by Harvard Parks and Recreation!
