 Illinois in the American Revolution

  • Marshall Public Library 612 Archer Avenue Marshall, IL, 62441 United States (map)

Join us April 30 at 6:30 PM for a pro-gram with author, presenter, and his-torian Tom Emery. Emery will high-light Illinois’ dominant Revolutionary War figure, George Rogers Clark, fo-cusing on his daring captures of Kaskaskia and Vincennes — including his grueling advance through frigid, chest-deep water. The program will also explore Clark’s lieutenants, the British officers who op-posed them, key Illinois engagements, perspec-tives on the state’s Amer-ican Indians during the conflict, and the war’s lasting legacy.
