Spirit of America

  • Batavia United Methodist Church 8 North Batavia Avenue Batavia, IL, 60510 United States (map)

This Flag Day concert will feature American composers and beloved patriotic tunes as we prepare to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the birth of our nation! As a non-profit organization bringing live orchestral music to the Fox Valley area, all of our performances are free and family friendly. Our venue is the beautiful, historic Batavia United Methodist Church, and seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Doors will open 30 minutes before the performance.

Our concert will feature patriotic tunes such as The Star-Spangled Banner and Stars and Stripes Forever, traditional Americana pieces like Shenandoah and Variations on a Shaker Melody, and American composers George Gershwin, Robert Buckley, and Soon Hee Newbold. The Fermi Community Orchestra, together with the Fermi Community Strings, is proud to present this program celebrating the Spirit of America!
